Our beauty advisors will give you a response as soon as possible, or you may find the answer under the following:

Q: Foundation emphasizes the wrinkles around my eyes, how can I avoid them?
A: If you use too much foundation on dry skin, the lines will show up more. Try applying a pea-size drop of eye cream (Try Komenuka Bijin eye moisture gel $50) around each eye. Then build up base in sheer layers with a brush.

Q: How does antiaging foundation work?
A: Antiaging foundations promise to reduce the appearance of wrinkles after a few weeks. With the newest ingredients- hyaluronic acids (to plump up the skin), antioxidants (to protect skin from UV damage) and hexapeptides (which softens lines). They could offer some help. We recommend Shiseido the Makeup Lifting foundation SPF16,$40; and Jane Iredale liquid mineral foundation,$46.

Q: What is a good all-natural, chemical free foundation for my sensitive skin?
A: Some traditional liquid, cream and pressed-powder foundations are made with chemicals that can irritate skin. Try loose powders made of micronized minerals, like Jane Iredale Amazing Base SPF20, $42. This contains no preservatives, fragrances, binders or other chemicals.

Q: How can I look good after an airplane flight?
A: En route drinks lots of water and spritz on a moisturizing spray hourly (try Mario Badescu rose water spray). Before landing apply a peachy cream blush. To brighten eyes, swipe nude eye pencil along the inner rims, then apply blue-tinted eye-drops (try Mavala Eyelite eyedrops). They constrict the vessels in the eyes and make them less red.

Q: Is it OK to use body wash on my face?
A: Stick with facial cleansers. Body washes contain strong fragrances as well as sudsing detergents meant to clean dirt and sweat off tougher skin. Those harsh ingredients can disrupt the pH balance of sensitive facial skin and cause redness and dryness.

Q: Which products will make my natural curls long and loose, not tightly wound?
A: Hairstylist Alex Dizon, who works with many celebrity like Sarah Michelle Gellar, blends equal parts defrizzing serum (Rene Furterer Fioravanti straightening gel, $24), and leave-in conditioner (Kiehl’s $28) to give curls weight. Apply from ends to roots, comb through and be sure to let hair dry without touching it.

Q: How can I get mascara not to smudge?
A: Sit still for 3 minutes and let the mascara dries and sets. If it doesn’t work, make sure that your eye cream soak in before applying mascara, or try a lighter formula. You can also prep lashes with a sealant like Clarins Fix Mascara ($16.50).
